Beadlock rims?

Do beadlock rims need a specific type of tire or can you use any tire on them?

Beadlock rims will fit any tire designed for gluing. For example a proline shortcourse tire can be glued or used in a beadlock wheel. Just make sure you get the correct size measurement wheels. You cant use a shortcourse tire on an 8th scale wheel (duh). On higher powered applications i would stay away from beadlocks as they can loosen and make your tires fly off. This has never happened to me on my slash 2wd but i would not trust beadlocks on my higher powered 4wd vehicles.

Also be aware that they're generally quite a bit heavier than a normal glue-style rim and that can, depending on what you're doing, have an adverse effect on performance.

+1 forgot about that. They are easier to remove than glued rims/tires. Having to bake, boil , or use acetone is way less convenient than putting an allen key to a wheel.
