Default How to clean grime and rust off hinge pins?

I've tried WD40 and motor spray but can't clean the grime and rust off hinge pins. What do you use to clean the hinge pins? Thanks,

AKA a Scotch Brite pad.
Steel wool might work too, wipe some WD40 on it after so it don't rust back up.

Yup. Chuck that thing in the end of a drill at medium speed, grab a green scrub pad and squirt a little wd40. move it up and down the shaft and you will be good to go.
