Default New to the forums

Hello, new over here (sorta, been lurking for a while), migrating over from some other forums. Recognize a lot of faces and builds. Worked in a hobby shop about 20 years ago (we were selling Fox's and Bruisers...am I really that old??) and have been obsessed with the hobby since.

Been doing RC for 20 years, currently have about 80 in the stable in various forms: primarily Tamiya with some Traxxas, HPI and a few Kyosho's thrown in.

Generally into scalers as I like the building and fabricating side of the hobby the best, though I have a little bit of everything. Love to pick up old kits and refurb them. I collect a lot too, so a lot of these are shelfers and on display somewhere. Really warming to rally lately..

Complete list off the top of my head...

TA02 (7)
TA03F
TA04S
XV01 (current build)
TB02

TLT (3)

Clod
Lunchbox
Falcon
Bearhawk (2)
Thundershot
Fox
Avante
Rising Fighter
Grasshopper
King Blackfoot
Brat

Traxxas:
Rustler/Slash/Pede (3 in various forms)
Nitro Pede
Revo/Summit Hybrid (current build)
EMaxx 3905
TMaxx OG prod .15
MERV (2)

HPI:
Baja
Super Nitro Rally (2 - current build)
Wheely King (2)

Axial:
SCX10
XR10
Wraith

Futaba
FX10
FXT

Kyosho:
2 Pure Scale's

1/9 Pathfinder

Odds/Ends: Venom Creeper, RS 1/5 quad (2), redcat buggy

Custom builds:

Cannot post pics yet of course. Hope to add whatever I can.

I just never fixed it, and it has been defunc ever since. it still has the motor in it though, so it wouldn't be too terribly hard to bring it back, but I just never have.

Fast Attack~ first hobby grade R/C I ever drove.

Falcon~first hobby grade I bought

You're not the only guy on here who would be considered "old"

Most on here have never seen a 3 step or wiper style speed control..or the rotary Kyosho style.

Or used a charge cord.

Fox and Bruisers? I suspect you're older than you realize (which is a good thing ).

Come on, 4 more posts, I want to see some proof!

Well, I just thought I would stop by and say hi.

Or flipped a Royal Ripper due to the hyper sensitive 4 wheel steering. Or took an Aristocraft Wildebeast and buried the body in the backyard so no one else would see how godawful ugly it was. Ah, the good old days. Guess I am old ... though I prefer experienced.

Getting there...feeling out the forum.

Hi everybody! I've been reading posts on rctech for a while now and finally decided to create an account. I just wanted to thank everybody for all the help and information they've shared and hopefully one day i'll be able to do the same. This is my first season of racing. I love driving my cars and repairing them. I love racing and meeting new people. I even love turn marshaling! All in all getting into rc cars was the best damn decision i've made in years

Hometrack: Barnstormers, NY
Cars: 8ight 2.0 B and T
