you shouldnt really have to worry about range because most can go pretty far. If your driving an rc its most likely not going to be too far from you.

Mine did and believe me you don't ever want to see your car do that. LOL This was before I had a chance to install a fail safe. It hit a curb at full speed and flew up in the air. I saw parts flying off everywhere. The whole right side was destroyed and my chassis was warped. I replaced everything on that damn car except the motor and tranny (thank god). But you know what? I still have a blast driving it and fixing things on it!

just drive untill you cant see it properly, the main reason youll come into problems if if your radio glitches and you loose signal also if your recever pack dies when your going full throtle

I don't know if the Revo has a built in failsafe, or what. I have run the RX battery down while running the truck and it will slow down and will not turn. I think I'll go to the Traxxas board and find out for sure. However on my Savage I don't have a fail safe yet. But will have soon. As I was out running oit the other day and it ran away for a couple minutes.

Wow I think I'd cry if my Inferno ever did that. I'm going to get a fail-safe ASAP.

The Revo's optical speed recognition unit, responsible for two speed shifting and safe shifting into reverse, indeed also functions as a failsafe.
