I am new to 1/12 scale on road racing. I have a new 12L4. For the same price, is it better to use a digital steering servo or an analog? From my airplane days we want digital for better centering. Is that the case for cars?

hey kite, im oso new in 1/12th, alot of ppl recommend ko949, you cant go wrong wif a ko servo

abit out of subject, juz bought a ko949, i trim my steering wif my receiver batt (5cells), it makes alot of noise, is this normal for digital servos? coz i dun get tat for my analog servos

yes digital is better. there have been many generations of new digital servos vs not so many improved analog servos.
for 1/12 you might want to check out Futaba, KO and Hitec servos.

Digitals are good but use a lot of juice. The airtronics 94145 is a good analog servo. The 12l4 was built around it.

I've never had problems in electric touring cars, due to the (sligthly) extra power consumption.
