So my friend talked me it to getting a new Team Associated RC10B4.1 RTR Brushless buggy. I have never run one of these an was wandering if you guys could recommend some upgrades. So for I know I need to change out the tires and someone told me I may want to switch out the steering servo but did not give any suggestions on witch one. Now keep in mind I a college student I am not rich I am on a budget.

Tires will be the single biggest upgrade you can make.

Beyond that, it depends on what you want to do with the car. Do you want to get into organized racing, etc. etc.?

It is a really good RTR out of the box though.

if you race then an aftermarket high speed digital servo would be a great improvement for you and tires are a must. i would recommend an airtronics low profile servo. i run it in my ft b4.1 and t4.1 they are great

Hi

You could always add weight
I have the same buggy and found adding around 50-80grams better for handling
Its cheap - just distribute metal weights to get around 35/65 front/rear weight distribution.Accurate scales help.
I was told these were designed for Nimh batteries which if using lipos would reduce design/running weight around 100grams.

good luck

Hey bro I picked up a B4.1 RTR and it's becoming my favorite vehicle, especially for the track. You can get away with the stock motor/esc for a while. I changed the servo to a futaba 3305 and it works perfectly, you don't need a monstrous torquey servo since their so light, the 3305 works well and 35$ bucks new. I would also reccomend factory team arms in the beginning and eventually v2 shocks and ball diff. It's a capable chassis just takes a lot of tweaking

Hi I have a b4.1 also I have an hpi 4000kv in it I can't race ah some cause its to fast but I love this motor and would recommend it to you to put I'm your buggy not the 4000 of your into racing but castle makes good motors that are 3200 to 3400Kv witch is race spec at most places. check them out

Best
