New and need help

Im totally new sport. Bought myself and 2 sons HPI Blitz 2WD RTR trucks to run at track in nearby town. These trucks have brushed motors NicHD batteries. Im learning that these wont cut it in the racing world. Can anyone recomend upgrades to make and please be specific im new with this. Also if you know of any used parts thats even better. I also need a new battery charger. Thanks for any help given.

Hey
Not to sure on upgrades but for racing you want brushless and lipo
For a brushless system im not sure which one you should get because you need to check what motors get run at your track
As for batteries if your looking for budget batteries i use gens ace lipos even for racing and they are roar approved and for 35 dollars a piece they are perfect you can get them off hobbypartz.com

Good tip on the Lipos.

I agree, you'll be wanting to get a brushless motor and a compatible ESC.
Most racers are fairly sociable, so I'd just go ask what people are using at your local track and hobby store. If one of them happens to be a rep or sponsored by the company, don't consider that a bad thing, but that you have a more direct communication to that company if you have issues.
