Default Stadium truck motor help?

hey guys, im new to racing. been driving my t4 for a little over a month now and im pretty comfortable wilh it but the other trucks that i race blow by me on the stright away. i have a lrp eraser speed control(Ai) and lrp 13.5 motor. what is a good speed control and motor set up to buy? and size motor?
some of the guys there are running orion 8.5 motors and dial it down a bit. track is medium size indoor dirt.

i want to get something really good so i wont be buying anything for it anytime soon. plus my current speed control does not have a brake set up,just right to reverse which is kinda dangerous ya know.
thanks for ur input

An 8.5 is reasonable for that truck indoors.

The only two brands of ESC I'd recommend right now are LRP or Orion, especially for OffRoad where smoothness is at a premium.

This would be a good way to go if want an LRP setup.

thanks alot for the info mark. so u think this is the best way to go/ i like the lrp set up. i just dont want to buy it and in 6 months upgrade again. if u had to buy a set up. this would be the one/
thanks again

I'm also a big fan of the Orion R10. It's a little smoother than the LRP even but the total cost for that and a motor will be a bit higher.

Either way, you're taking the right approach - buy good and buy once.
