Default Need help.

Hi,

After a very long break, I'm coming back to rc.

I have forgotten how to calculate the final gear ratio and as such would appreciate if someone could help me.

In addition, what will a higher value give me, higher top speed or higher acceleration?

Thanks

spur/pinion x trans ratio: SC10= 2.60

84/23 x 2.60= 9.50 to 1

The higher the final number= more torque
The lower the final number= more speed

Spur ÷ by pinion x internal

A higher value will give you higher torque. Of course this has to be calculated for each track and each motor being used.
