Default Getting started in nitro

Hi,

I'm and experienced elec TC racer, and now i would like to get into something different for just bashing.
What would be a interemediate lvl car that would suit bashing?
I'm not after a cheapo POS nitro car, but somthing that can have the potential for a occasional race and upgrades, but mostly for long periods of bashing.

I have seen a couple of cars so far,

FW-05s /r
V one sII/r /rr / rrr
RS4 3
tg10 / mk1 / mkII

these 3 brands are supported at my lhs, others like tm, ae, mugen arent.

Also, im after a engine to suit the car, with the engine im not after world record speed but an engine that is long lasting and wont die to soon. basically something durable for a nitro newb.

Thanks for all suggestions

I was in your shoes a few months ago, i bought a TG10 second hand it sucked arse.... that car made me loose interest in nitro all together...

My mate has a V-ONE-R which is as stock as they come and i was quite impressed watching it tear up the track last weekend, the car handle superbly and ran trouble free all day..

If i ever decide to buy another nitro it will be a Vone series car, unless i can afford a MTX 3 LOL

Regarding engines, my mates car had a $100 engine ( his words) and he qaulifies in the a main againts novarossi's and the like. and it looked super fast on the track...

The HPI is probably the best bashing car. The Kyosho cars were aimed for racing(plus they are super expensive anyway. Tamiya's TG10 isn't all that great because Tamiya has little nitro experience which sets them back in the TG10's performance, its nothing compared to their electric stuff. HPI is the best in my mind. It's at a competitive price, user-friendly, & can still be raced.

Engine-wise, OS is excellent for nitro newbies. Very easy to tune & get going. Plenty powerful too.

if you want a car for bashing i would go for a monster truck they are the strongest but i think the strongest car for good money i would say the hpi savage ss or 25 they are the best one but the savage ss is a kit do you mind a kit

i think that is the best car for you or you can move on to traxxas they do good monster trucks go on this website....

Question - Why would you want to `Bash` a Kyosho RRR ?
This is a quality piece of kit !

Lol i didnt mean to write that i would be bashing with a top end car, anyway i didnt know which one was top end and which wasnt when i typed that.

Anyway i'm quite interested in the kyosho FW-05 car.

can anyone tell me the difference between the s, t and r?
i know that the r is the top end one.
but can anyone tell me what components of the car are different?

i am leaning towards to the "t" becuase it is rtr

Any yes i would like to stick to on-road.

Thanks for all your help!

Would anyone recommend the new Team Accociated R2R nitro tc3 over the Hpi Rs3 kit?

for nitro run bashing, get a shaft driven car. less maintenance and less hassle from pebbles gettin into the belt and pulleys.
