Default true new to r/c's looking for info

Hi have not owned an r/c scents I was 10, now almost 40. Looking for links and info on how to pick a good buggy, truggy, or truck. Want something that can be fun on and off road. Not out for a racer at this point. Favoring a nitro set up. Have no fear of the set up of a small engine as I worked on them for years. Thanks for any help

Big strides have been made in the electric world, I'm all the time walking out of my house in a subdivsion 10 pm 12 am 2 am to play and test both RC's. I do not have a back ground for Nitro. I am suggesting U take a look at options in this fast growing sport.

i just bought a stampede 4x4 vxl. so far its been great. for me nitro was always a pain and i couldn't run them in public places. the stampede is also waterproof. youtube can be helpful for looking up cars and trucks.
