Default EZRUN 17.5T brushless motor & ESC????

Anybody running the 17.5T brushless EZRun motor + 60A ESC? Curiuos about the durability/reliability and performance. I have to run 17.5 and up for the stock SC class. You can buy the 17.5 brushless motor, 60A ESC and programming card for around $100. Seems like a descent motor from what I've read, but I just wanted to hear from someone who's used one. Thanks

That motor is not bad (although the 17.5 class is not all the motor-dependent anyway IMO); that ESC is pretty cheap, especially for a true racing application. It is also not a ROAR-approved zero-timing blinky mode ESC if your track will be requiring that. For those that really, really want an ESC from the HobbyWing line of products, the Xerun rather than the EZrun series will be better for racing.

My general suggestion for racers on a budget is to search the for-sale ads here and buy a better ESC like something from LRP used rather than buy a lower-end ESC new.
