Smile Getting back to R/C, new to forums, need guidance!

Hey, My name is Mikhail, you can call me Mike. I've always been interested in R/C's as a child but all I could afford back then was a stock traxxas 4tec. I am now 26 years old and I am getting back into the hobby, I love on-road touring and have a few cars 3 electrics and 1 nitro. I live in New York City and finding somewhere to participate in races has been impossible. I remember in the 90's New York City was much more involved in R/C, Now all people tell me is "get a mini-z and go to Chinatown". As much as I love R/C, mini-z happens to be something that never caught my interest. These cars remind me of Traxxas vintage cars or Radioshack x mods. I want to race 10th scale and if possible, 18th scale! (i know, this class probably doesn't exist in racing). If anyone knows of any official, un-official, tracks, clubs or races, (non drift) in NYC please let me know. I love to ride my car around the street, but this hobby is just all me right now and I need practice and competition and a sense of sportsmanship.
