Default Hey guys! Newbie here

So I've had my Losi strike for about a month and a half. I'll be racing it in the stock short course truck class. It's a descent truck after some basic upgrades. For now until I get some more funds, I'm running a 10t Trinity brushed motor and a novak super rooster esc LOL...hey, ya gotta use what's available right? It does okay, but I plan on a 17.5t brushless very soon. I still need a transponder. Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!!!

So far I've done the following upgrades:
Rear:
- Losi ball diff
- Robinson hardened steel idler gear
- Losi aluminum toe plate
- Losi aluminum camber block
- Losi aluminum motor plate
- 90t spur/15t pinion
- Traxxas body mount mod
- Losi Eclipse tires/wheels from a XXX-sct

Front:
- Proline shocks
- HR aluminum hubs
- HR aluminum steering arms
- HR aluminum shock tower
- Punisher super duty titanium turnbuckle
- Losi aluminum pivot
- traxxas stampede servo
- Losi Eclipse tires/wheels from a XXX-sct

Definitely wanna upgrade electrics when you get a chance, starting with the brushless system (Team Icon is the way to go by far) and then next the servo. Most tracks, I believe provide house transponders, as mine does, you should worry about other electrics before purchasing the transponder.Just my $.02

Well, the old school esc melted last week at the track lol. Came around the corner and had smoke rolling out from under the body. I will soon have the xcelorin 17.5 brushless system installed so I can run in the stock sct class. I'm also upgrading to an all metal gear servo. I'll keep you posted on the new parts!
