Default RC Servo Slip Problem

Hi, I've got a small problem I hope I can get some help.

I have a smartech rc servo that's used to turn the front tires in an electric off-road buggy.

This servo has started to slip, in that the internal motor just runs free as if the gears inside are not mashing properly. The gearbox on this servo is not accessible so I can't really check it.

I opened the 4 long screws, pulled the small board with the small motor out but there were couple of short wires going up to the servo directly behind and inside of where the white splined gear would be.

So I stopped there. Couldn't do much.

I'd like to know if it can be repaired or will it have to be replaced? Any links to repair info would be good, if it could be repaired.

Appreciate any help.

I would take it to your local hobby shop to see if they can fix it or you could get into contact with the manifacture of the car, if its the origanal servo if not just buy a new one.

Default servo

flip the the servo over and take the top case part off and look and see if the gear are striped and if they are check with tower hobby and get a gear set and there not to hard to fix. good luck.
