Default rc8b clutch springs

i installed the cluch springs on a new os engine. and afterwards the
engine wont turn by hand. is this normal? dont want to jack my new engine

Sounds like the engine might be stuck at top-dead-center or something isn't shimmed right or you're missing the collet. Did you take the whole clutch assembly off the engine?

Is the engine brand new? If so, it's probably the pinch stopping the piston from going up all the way.

yea it was just the brand new engine. just really tight. wasnt ready for it to be that tight. thanks for help
