Default Motor rebuilding info needed

Is there any info available that describes the motor rebuilding process and principles? I can find bits and peices, but nothing comprehensive.

i have the following suggestions for you:

1. DO NOT LUBRICATE the v-shape guide on your lathe with bearing oil! use tamiya lubricating grease instead!

2. use 4 old cells, do draw power directly from a power supplier.

3. you have cutted the comm, add bearing oil on the comm, and do a very very thin cut.

4. use a comm cleaning rubber to unsharp the edges of the comm slot. do it carefully otherwise u will scratch the comm surface

just my 2 cents

A ball point pen works also, it does a good job of rounding the edges in.

That's a great idea. Moly lube is cheap and will stick around forever. Also probably not as messy as using oil which eventually seeps down the side of the v-blocks.

Yeah Moly is awesome, we coat our bullets with it for competition rifle shootiing, and the barrels stay cleaner, they last longer, and it keeps its accuracy longer, and cleaning is a breeze.
