Default Nitro off-road for newbie

Hi all,

been looking around for an off road nitro vehicle. Not sure whether I want a buggy or a truck, was thinking a truck for better ground clearance but they don't seem as fast as the buggies from what i've seen.

It's not for racing, just for general messing about with mates, want to be able to upgrade and tweak etc too...

So far i've been looking at the Hyper7 and the Savage .25. Can anyone suggest any others I take a look at within the same price range?

Thanks for any advice.

A big factor is if your going to racing. if your going to race then get a hyper7 if not, savage 25.

Get whichever car your hobby shop stocks parts for, nitro cars constantly break down

Like was stated above, depends on whether you are going to race. If you are, you might want to consider 1/10 trcuks. They are widely available and parts in general are slightly cheaper. Since they're 2wd, they're easier on maintenance too. Monster trucks are horrible on the track and hop ups can wreck a pocket book.
