Bent Dogbones

Im somewhat embarrased to ask since the answer might be quite obvious (to some). But since I overdischarged and toasted a lipo-pack earlier today, I feel humble enough to ask possibly stupid questions. Do bent dogbones cause wheel/driveterrain wobble? Or is it rather the hideously bashed, worn and probably unbalanced wheels that cause it? Im just wondering at what point I should replace dogbones, when it blocks springtravel/steering or earlier than that? I got a new set of wheels&tyres on their way already. Any advice is welcome, thanks!

I would definately replace the dogbones...bent dogbones, or for that matter any binding or wobble in the drivetrain can be very hard on motors...

If you're interested here is an excellant write-up on lipo's, so you don't toast any more:Dhttp://www.rchelicopterfun.com/rc-lipo-batteries.htmlCredit to finding this site goes to Duster_360...

I second that notion.

You should replace anything that is bent and obviously broken or worn.

Make sure to balance your new tires with some modeling clay.

Here's how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYp5PQgyZzg

I have a slightly bent dog bone on my truggy. 2nd season on it, and NEVER had an issue with the wheels.
