Default I think I ruined my pro-line tires...

So I bought some used Pro-Line Caliber tires for my slash. Anyways I had to change two of them from one rim to another, I used the baking method.

I got them off fine but putting them onto the new rim I noticed that they aren't as snug against the foam as the two other ones I didn't change.

So did I ruin them, by baking them maybe to long or not letting them cool before I pried them off the existing rim?

Should I run them anyways?

Yah sorry.
Um the flat surface (where the tire rides on the ground).
If i kinda pinch it and stretch it away from the center of the rim it seems to have a bit of play. Not a whole lot, just enough for me to realize the ones I baked and the ones I didn't. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks

If you didnt wait long enough for the tyres to cool before either pry them off or apply them on the new rim, you probably warped them. If you glue them properly and the process of taking them off the old rim wasnt too bad, you should be okay but I'd have to see them. How long and what temp did you cook them for? I think 325 degrees for 40 mins is good (i prefer a small toaster oven)

350 degrees for 10-15 mins. Ya I didn't wait at all before taking them off.. My mistake.
They will seal in the bead lock but they just feel you know a little loose against the foam.. I'll just run it and see what happens.

Thanks guys. Just didn't want to use them and realize they're no good and do the whole baking process again. The rims kinda warp when prying the tire off.

I had to bake off a set of brand new tires once because i mounted them wrong..And the foam shrunk...So i would imagine that's what happened to you...

I agree with mx51. My foams seem to shrink when I bake tires too.

I would recommend the boiling process to remove the tires from rims. just did it this weekend and worked great
