Default SC10 Battery tray. PLEASE HELP!

I have a brushless SC10 non FT and Turnigy 2S lipos. My problems is the battery tray will not close because of the thickness. Any ideas? (Mods or purchasing something thats adjustable.)

You try adjustable velco straps?

I'm not sure how much more room you need, but you can move the pivot blocks under the battery tray instead of on top. You don't need longer screws either. That will let you move the battery back also.

On mine I just made an extended battery strap from a T4 and did the thumb screws. That way I could move the battery any position I wanted.

for those turnigy batteries that have the wires on their longer sides, you'd have to cut out a small bit of the side of the battery tray.

anyway, go for velcro straps (Align has some pretty neat straps), cut 2+2 holes on the sides of the battery tray with a dremel or skil multitool, close to the chassis. I've done this on both of my SC10s, velcro all the way!

I run them some times and I use the carbon battery strap. I still have a little play though. I just use a little bit of foam under it.
