I would go with the LRP electronics for onroad. Are you gonna run stock or mod.

buy a motor/esc combo (from same company) for your type of vehicle. that will take out a lot of the headaches before you even start.

Could you give me some examples of what complications arise when having two different brand esc and motor?
(maybe the most frustrating and common issue)

you wont have problems with diff. manufacturers, but to take any guesswork out of it, buying a combo makes it simpler. i should have been more specific.
