FM Radio Settings... What do they do?
 

I have recently purchased a computer radio, and there are all these functions to set, and I just don't understand what they all do... The manual doesn't help explain much.

My main question is how to set the dual rates, and epa's and trim's. How do I know when it is set right, and when it is wrong?

Any help that anyone could offer would be much appreciated!

Trims is if the car tracks strait without any stearing, if your car dosn't track strait then adjust the trims and if it still dosn't work check your front toe settings.

Dual rates is how much steering throw you want left and right, if you run on a tight track then you can use a higher % but if you run on a big track then you might set it at a lower % so that you don't oversteer.

I think Epa's is like dual rates but you can set left and right at different %'s like if you run oval then you'd want more Left turn then right so you could set right at 40% and left at 80%(just speculation)

Dual rate is the speed of which the servo actually turns, increasing from center. So if you have D/R set to 100% the servo will turn from center to end at it's top speed. If it's set to 80% the servo will turn at 80% of it's speed increasing till it reaches it's full speed. What this does is slow down the reaction time keeping you from "twitching". When you are starting, try to start around 70%, get used to driving this way an increase slowly as you learn the car.

EPA or End Point Adjustment is just that. You are telling the controller the point at which your servo "ends" or stops turning. If you have a car with bump stops (or where you steering is stoped via knuckle hitting the carrier etc...) then set you EPA to stop there. If you over turn you servo or load it with resistance you'll burn it out real quick.
