Default Antenna length

i have a traxxas slash and saw an article in RC Driver of an STRC Slash. it had an antenna on it that appeared to be really short as to just barely not even stick through the body. how can i make my antenna like this. also it had a nut on the bottom.

Hey Scott! those shorter antennas are for 2.4 radios. BTW did you ever get your charger?

I get them on eBay. Just got one for a 4x4 Slash that I'm going to use on a Emaxx I'm converting to 2.4. They are made as part of the radio box and I just use the whole new setup.

just cut the antenna,,,,NO DONT EVER DO THIS!!! LOL coil it up inside the receiver box, and cut your antenna tube to length, (with the antenna wire out of it of course ) and then put the antenna back thru, apply the top and walahhh!! like magic you have a shorter antenna,, i keep my antenna for my associated rc8b completely inside the reciver box, and with my 2.4 radio it goes as far down the road as i would like to take it (til it looks tiny) and it stil has full reception
