newbie brake issues

yo, im pretty new to r/c cars, ive got a little buggy, its an acme condor im pretty sure.

im pretty sure ive got my head around how to tune in my engine but whenever i brake the carbi closes up entirely and the engine stalls. so i need a bit of advice one making it so that the brake engages without the carbi closing all the way up and stalling the car. its probably something easy and simple but, i havent figured it out. so any advice is muchly appreciated. thanks.

u may try turning clockwise on your idle screw by small increment to open the carb... u may like to check out http://www.rctech.net/forum/nitro-of...ing-bible.html

Carb should have an idle screw that holds the carb slid open so there's about a 1mm opening. This screw will not let the brake linkage close it completely so it will continue to idle under braking. You need to adjust this idle screw, turning it in CW should raise the idle.
