Default Where to get a traxxas slash?

Well I have finally decided (with much help from the people on these forums) that I am going to be getting the slash 2wd.

Sadly there is no R/C store that carries them within 100 miles of me, so I am going to have to order it online.
I was thinking of going through Amazon, but one of the sellers on there says it is RTR, and the picture says battery included. But then in the product description it says needs a 7.2v battery to run it.

Any websites you would suggest? And do you think that it includes the battery or doesn't?

Thanks
Andy

P.S.
Has anyone done any business with Horizon Hobby - on or not on amazon?

check out www.towerhobbies.com if you join them you get pretty good discounts and offers. If you look at batts. go for Lipo (5000), Lipo charger, and Lipo cutoff if your budget allows. Eventurally save for the VXL and you'll be a Happy Slasher

Tower hobby looks good, but they are out of stock right now (for about 3 more weeks) and I was hoping to get it before then.
Any other places?

+1 for Amain hobbies. They have good prices and fast shipping.

Also, try www.carolinasrc.com They are my local shop. Bunch of nice honest people work there. Plus, you can get 10% back right now I think. Trust me, they will treat you well.

Just make sure you get one with 2.4 radio. Tower has them in stock and if you can find the member discount codes and join you should be able to get one for about $210

The slash is cool but the traxxas 2.4 radio is way overrated. I thought it was a pain in the but to use and sold it almost immediately.

I bet this is true but still make sure you get a slash with one. I am sure there are still some AM ones still out there.

It shows in stock at Horizon and at Amazon - I'd be worried about geting the 2.4version at Amazon.
