Default T27 stock motor speed up

how to tune up T27 electric brush motor and get out more speed from it?
i heard something about magnets dislocation, but what it is
how can i play with magnet setings?
also
how to detect correct brush strenght?
what are most important things what
everybody should do in stock motor
to tune it up and get more speed out of it,
by rules that you can't change spur and pinion gears.
??

also i have heard that is possible to tune up two "simmilar' T27 engines, but
one of them will be very powerful and fast, while other engine will be very smooth?
how to change it and what are the reasons for sutch different behavior?

hi , i dont type well enough to even attempt to answer all your questions , but the most important thing is a REALLY clean motor , next research big jims black book , no longer in print ,but you can find pages from it on the net , and i believe there are forums talking about his work , he was an amazing motor man , and is saddly missed in the rc world , ray

oh a nother thing , a sponsered racer gave me a tekin dyno , they got a new sponser and equiptment , that thing was great , it allowed me to test a new motor or a good motor and see what kind of numbers it pulled , rpm , watts etc.... this was a big help as a newbie , alot of people will tell you that a dyno isnt needed and its not , it just helped me test and figure things out , and there a whole lotta fun if your into building your motors , there are a couple on ebay right now pretty cheap , good luck and go on the tone

So, how far down this rabbit hole do you want to go...

Not knowing the application, I would suggest doing the following as a general way to extract more power from a 27T stock motor.

1. Purchase a set of quality silver brushes from Trinity/Epic and install them.
2. Pick up a Medium and Heavy set of brush springs for medium to high speed application or a set of Heavy and Extra Heavy springs for a high load/torq application such as sc trucks and 4wd...
3. Install the medium/heavy spring on the positive side of the motor
4. Install the heavy/xheavy spring on the negative side of the motor
5. Fill Large glass full of tap water
6. Run motor on 3-5 volts (2 or 3 NiMh cells)
7. Dunk motor in water running for 5-7 Seconds and and remove from water and shut off promptly. Clean motor very well with motor spray.
8. Check brushes to make sure they are fully seated (Wear contact patch across the entire face of the brush, If not fully seated repeat step 7.
9. Oil motor bearings/bushings and run for 30 seconds on 3-5 volts.
10. The motor will give it's best 3 - 5 runs under these condition before you should inspect and clean brushes.

This is a very short version of how to get the most out of your motor. Their are MANY other small details and black magic arts to getting a bit more out of a stock motor but in order to really gain from there you have to make sure your car/driving and gearing are all spot on...
