Just wanted to pop in and say hi, i've been lurking on the forums for about a month now, getting back up to speed on RC's...its been about 20 years since I was a young teenager racing my Blackfoot...alot of things have changed in this sport!!

I'm currently looking for a 4X4 Slash, RTR and would like to trade my like new ( 3 weeks old) PS 3 250gb slim for it...not playing the PS as much as I thought I would.

You remember the old Rice's Hobbies Track out on Main??
Thats where I used to run mainly, and once at the old Lake Alfred Flea/Farmers Market track.

LA's gettin a major road overhaul now....17/92 is being widened and one way'd throughout town...its got traffic all jacked up.

I remember seeing it, but I wasn't into the hobby back then. Where at on 92? I lived on the east side off combee road. 92 was terrible, it needed it. I haven't been down there in awhile. I'm planning to come visit some friends one weekend, I'll have to plan it when a RC race is going on

Im talking about 17/92 in Lake Alfred, 92 is still a fluster cluck from Auburndale to Lakeland.

I've been going up to Extreme Hobby Zone in Winter Haven, a buddy I race skis with goes up there with his son and races.
Im planning on putting my helmet cam on his truck for the Friday nite race.
Should be some cool footagem we were screwing around a few weeks ago with it and it held up pretty good...of course I was only in training mode!

Ol Lake Parker, I see the power plant over there. Brings back alot of memories.

There is a track in Clermont too, for what I've seen, looks like a pretty nice track.

Hey y'all, welcome back to the hobby Doogie. how far are y'all from Jacksonville area? I live out towards middleburg, an theres a cool track in Green Cove Springs

I havent been to any other tracks yet...just gettin back into the swing of things.
Really wish it would warm up, watching those videos from last summer makin me itch to ride again!!

RC is supposed to be my "cheap" form of racing, the skis are the money pit.

Hopefully someone will come along here and trade me a nice 4X4 Slash, those things look like a ton of fun.

Im about 3 hours from Jax, I do travel up there occasionally doing work for Publix, we just did a new one out in some new development/area called Nocatee, it was'nt even on my GPS!!
I've been to GCS a few times, I believe for a Publix remodel, and a Winn Dixie

I'm not sure if nocatee is finished yet, its the "davis legacy" the guy whos building his own city Dan Davis is a cool guy, I've met him but its definatly a upper class place to try to live
