Hi friends. I'm new to the game and am geting my 1/8 electic buggy sorted. But I need your help.

I need to buy a specific cord. Specifically the one below. But I don't know what its name is. If you can tell me the name, I can ask for it at my local hobby shop.

Right, apparently because I'm new I can't post URLs, which sort of ruins this exercise.

The cord I'm after is the sort of cord that will plug into a LIPO with banana plugs as well as the little balance port dude. Then will have a deans at the other end as well as a balancing plug to put in my charger.

Its just a balance adapter - but its for a hard case lipo. Thats what makes it diff.

Will I be able to use that adapter for both charging and plugging into my esc for a race (by tucking the balance port out of the way somewhere)?

You can run that way, it would no diff than a soft cased lipo with with its buitin balance wires. The connector is a bit bigger - maybe put a piece of tape over it to keep it clean and prevent any poss shorts from happening.
