Default Bullet Plug

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any problems of adding bullet plugs between the ESC and brushless motor? Want a easier way to disconnect the motor from the ESC when necessary.

Thanks.

Well my new Velineon came with the gold plated bullets already wired on, so if that's any indicator. I use bullets on a lot of things for their ease, but I have heard that they wear more quickly than a Dean's etc. I don't think their resistance is all that bad either. Whatever you decide to do, just check it occaisionally to see if certain parts are heating up faster than the others. And hopefully other people will drop by to add their advice.

All the Castle esc/motor combos are delivered this way. It makes it easy reverse the motor direction if needed by just switching any two of the motor/esc wires.

Nothing wrong with setting it up to run this way. I don't think you'll be unplugging often enough to be concerend about quality bullet connectors wearing.

Check the plugs priodically to be sure they still stay together tight enough so they don't disconnect while racing, I have seen this happen at the track. The plugs wear out from being plugged in and out so many times and then they need to be replaced.

it also depends on the user how frequent they swap motors. surely the plug gets loose much faster.

Puting Bullets between the ESC and motor is a convenient way to swap motors quickly without having to solder.
