Not sure how much run time gained but brushless motors are a lot more efficient and requires a lot less maintenance. Remember you may also have to change your gearing and your speed controller will have to be able to run brushless motors.

what battery? cell number? mah? lipo? what motor, and its winds? with a 17.5 and a 4000 lipo, you can get up to 30 minutes plus, just a guess.

i have a team magic B8RS and was thinking of converting it and was looking at the team novak kit it comes with the HV Pro Brushless System 6.5T with 5mm Rotor (Kv=3,400; Watts=730) motor and the esc that comes with it can run 6-14 Ni-Cd/Ni-MH cells (7.2-16.8 volts) or 2S-4S Li-Po.

ok so what i am trying to figer out is what sort of run times i would get out of a battery cause the guy at the hobby shop i went to told me that i would only get like 6 to 10 mins run time (i just think he does not want to sell it to me)

Run time varies on certain things. Gearing setup motor speed driving skills etc. The more you push it the less overall run time etc.

Novak is one of the best companies out there. I have NEVER had a problem with them. They have just as many problems as the next company out there. It is just part of the hobby. Once in a while you get a bad item.

Novak states that you should have 20% more run time on their brushless systems than you are on a brushed

To compare apples to apples:

My buddy just got a vxl stampede. Running it in training mode vs my xl-5 stampede with the same 3000 mah 8.4v packs and same gearing in each, he is slightly faster and gets 30 mins runtime vs my 20.
