Newb in Need! SC10RTR problem!
Hi all, I'm a newbie R/C guy with a Team Associated SC10 RTR. Here's my problem...
I broke the chassis on the first run out of the box (damn thing is too fast!!) So i purchased a new chassis and rebuilt the truck onto the new chassis. Now when i run it, i keep encountering the same thing... The truck will run fine until it hits a bump or any type of jolt or shock (IE, dropping off a curb or hitting a speed bump) Then it will not respond to the throttle trigger. If i nudge the truck with my foot and then hit the throttle, it goes, but then quits if i change direction (reverse) or let off the throttle. All the while the steering still responds, even when the throttle will not. what gives?? I'm thinking it has to do with the receiver, but I am painfully new at this, and don't quite know where to start. Sorry if this topic has already been covered, I searched the forums, but came up empty. |
I would check to make sure your throttle leads are completely inserted in your receiver. Give everything a good push and try it again. Sounds like something is loose in your receiver.

check all connections esc to recever, battery to esc, esc to motor, battery connectors also check the gear mesh and the brushes and springs on the motor and last the crystals in recever and transmiter.
|
Sounds like a stuck or bad brush. Check your motor brush hoods for dirt or debris. If you have an air compressor with a blower use it to blow out around the brushes.

Thanks guys! Looks like it was a problem with the brushes in the motor. I've pulled the motor and i'm going through it now. Thanks for the quick replies and helpful information!
