Snow chains and gearing

I've put homemade snow chains on my stampede. It slightly increases the wheel diameter. Should I lower my gear ratio to compensate?

The motor and battery packs are staying cool during operation, if that info helps.

I don't think changing gearing will benefit or hamper if it already runs cool, what would be the point?

Yeah, if motor's not running hotter (they prob don't weight much more than without, either) there's no need or point. I assume esc is not getting hot either - cool batts, esc and motor is definition of a happy setup.

I don't think that it will give much additional stress on the motor.

Cool. I'm fairly new, so didn't know if I should compensate for the extra mass and diameter even though everything seemed A-OK.

Not a prob. Your conditions would typically tell you you could gear up if you wanted more speed since everything is cool. When changing to bigger tires and wheels that weigh significantly more than what was being used, this is a real concern.
