Questions?? help with esc high temp

i have a cc sidewinder 5700kv in my ofna hyper mini ste stock gears and the motor never goes past 120 but my esc is at 170. one more question same car when i turn the steering all the way to ether side the power cuts out to the motor

First thing to do is make sure you have the latest firmware on your controller. Many of the early issues have been fixed by simple updates. If you do not have a Castlelink already it is a worthy piece of equipment to own.

If your batts are getting hot as well, sounds like you're overgeared.

You might want to adjust your steering servo endpoints as it sounds like the servo is overloading as it tries to push past the chassis' physical limits of turning. Dual-Rate (D/R) is the easiest way to adjust this for both sides at once.
