Default Trimming Body Posts

I have heard some people say, not to do this (not to cut your body posts shorter), because if you buy or use a different body later it may not fit & you will need to buy new posts ($8, not that much).

But some clubs have the rule that body posts must be trimmed to 2 hole above your body. Not sure why... maybe has something to due with contact with other cars....

What is the norm? I mean, my car will look way better with trimmed posts... is that TCS legal thou?

I didn't see anything in the TCS rules that would make me think it's illegal to trim the posts. I don't see ny performance advantage to be gained.

I guess you could pack a set of new posts with you if you go to a TCS race just in case...

If you'er running a common body type, then there sould be no problems. But I wouldn't run them any higher than the top of the car. If you cut them short, they shouldn't make much contact with the ground if the car flips over. Longer posts are more likely to snap, and you'll be paying that $8 much sooner.
