Default Holden gas car

First post so I though I would post here.

Have been given a gas Holden car its a vt mobil 1 car.

It has sat not used for about 2 - 2-1/2 years. I am trying to get it going.

Cleaned fuel tank, lubed up carb (was not moving freely) got new fuel, glow plug, charging the starter now so will try later.

First question its a two wheel drive, can I get the parts to make it 4wd it look like I might just need the shafts and diff.

Who makes these is it model engines?

any info on them would be great.

thanks
cameron

Look around the car for the brand and model it is.

Google search it.

If its pull start when you're ready to start it put you're finger over the exhaust pipe tip and pull the cord. That will prime it. Once you've done it about three times the most. Take you're finger off.

Don't put your igniter in when you're priming the car.

Pics would be great

It needs tuning but happy it can run, play with it later.

I would say that you wouldn't be able to convert it to a 4WD, i doubt the parts would be available. It sort of looks like a colt but i'm probably wrong.

sent a mail to model engines and got this back

Hi Cameron,

The chassis looks like a GV-V2000 with an O.S. 15CV-X motor

Codes for the parts you may require are:

V2155 4wd conversion kit

MVC15T3 15T Clutch Bell

CB158 Spur Gear

Please contact your local Retail hobby shop to order parts.

There is a Retailers List on the Model Engines home page.

The PDF attached is for our current shaft drive car, most of the parts should be the same as your car except for the Engine which is now a Force.

Regards,

Darren Smith

MODEL ENGINES (AUST.) PTY. LTD.

Looks like I am getting somewhere.
