New Guy To Nitro RC
 

Hey all! I am a newcomer to the Nitro RC hobby. A buddy of mine took out his Traxxas Nitro 4TEC last night, and I instantly wanted to get into the hobby!

I went in and ordered a Traxxas Nitro Jato 3.3 right there on the spot. I'm looking forward to the knowledge of this forum, and having fun with my new truck.

This will just be for ripping around the street/parks, and won't be used for racing. The thing wheelies like crazy from some of the videos I've seen!

be careful with that thing one wrong move and youll have a pile of rubble especially if you dont have much experience

welcome to the forum. just take it easy to start with and break in the motor properly by the book or you will smoke the motor in a heart beat

Your Jato will come with a Traxxas dvd on tuning. Take the time to watch it and follow its advice. Breakin in is a one time deal for a nitro engine, so take the time to do it right and learn how to tune. It will increase your enjoyment of the hobby greatly. TRX manuals are well done, well worth the time to read thru it and learn about your new rc.

im also kinda new? just fool around with little turns and keep engine under 240 degrees!!!!!!! hot outside more fuel not hot outside less fuel you probaly know that@!

You should also have your friend help you with it for a little while tell you get the hang of tuning. He should also be there to help you break it in. You should invest in a heat gun also which can be your best friend making sure your engine doesn't get to hot and cause damage. Welcome to the addiction of nitro r/cs:D
