Electric or Nitro..

The only electrics I have had were the cheap ones from WalMart or Toys R Us. I was never happy with the run time, but I'm sure a quality electric would have better run time.
My first real R/C was a nitro monster truck. I had zero experience, but I followed the directions that came with it for the break-in and tuning. Got a temp gun to help me keep my temps under control. It was a lot of fun.
I love the smell, sound and challenge of a nitro engine. But then again I love full scale racing too.

I've had both the new E-maxx and Rustler VXL. The emaxx ate up batteries like crazy so I had two sets, now this is not cheap. I started out with nimh and was planing on going with lipo but ended up going on road and sold it. It was very fun at the track, here is a video of the Emaxx stock running Trinity 4600 7 cell nimh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp4wylmAZCQ
I now run 1/10 pan car single lipo and tons of fun due to the longer run times and having 4 lipos always on hand. E-Maxx was fun but if you don't have at least 3-4 sets of lipos the fun runs out very quicly killing your day. If I had to do it all over which I plan on doing, go with e-revo and 3-4 sets of lipos and you will have tons of fun.

Where's the fun if there is no challenge?
