Arrow Yet another lipo ?

Please excuse the silly question but,Can you fly on a commercial airline with lipo's?If so what precautions have to be taken?I've been into r/c for a long time but all my stuff is ancient and i'm trying to modernize.Thanks for your patienance.

I dont see my not phone batteries are lipos

No the phone batteries are li polymer alot more stable the lipos

Cell phone batteries are Lithium Ion.

Maybe you should call the airline company to find out. Maybe you can if there are in a Lipo sack or fire resistant container.

My phone battery says "Lithium Polymer 900mah" so mine is a lipo and so is my laptop

Airlines have diff policies IIRC. There's some kind of weight limit for them, like a real low weight cause they're afraid of possible explosion. Some won't let you carry in your carry on, others thats their only way its allowed. From what I've read on other forums, its basically not practical to carry them due to teh weight limit - I see most being advised to ship them to their destination.

Call your airline, don't just show up with it.

just put it in your check baggage...

i put everything in a suitcase to fly out to Cali...starter box, radio, car with the engine and gas tank still on it

they went through it, and it was all still there

i had 3 lipos in there..

you are fine, the only rule is that they are NOT allowed to be plugged into anything. I had a buddy who flew down for a race and they confiscated his cordless driver because the battery was still installed(it was the type that you couldn't easily remove the battery)
