Any help appreciated for TT01
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any guys running the TT01D in SG? Just bought a set recently and am hoping to find someone who can teach me what parts to get. Especially spurs, pinions, etc. I stay in Kovan. Thanks... |
i am not a tamiya fan, but i have a friend who has a tt-01.
-Get ball bearings, they will really make a difference. -oil filled shocks are a major improvement over the stock friction "shocks". -get a decent ESC. the one included is OK with the can motor and 27 turn motors, but will probably smoke with a modified motor. - and most importantly : Have fun!!! ;) Cheers! |
Any idea what ball bearing will be good? If can provide website and part no. would be great.

Hi
RC Mart has a lot of stuff for the TT-01. But all u need is like Bigshades said, some bearings, shocks and a decent esc. If u plan on actually racing in the future, get a TA-05 or something similar. Don't pump money into a TT-01. Hope this helps. |
What transmitter will be good for usage on the TT01D with budget of $200-$300 SGD?

Hi adrictan,
are you a drifter, racer or a basher? I believe TT-01D is design for drifting and ball bearings included in the kit. for racing car - change your motor mount to aliminum or metal (kit use plastic it will melt easily) - change your propeller shaft to aluminum if you want to use motor higher than silver can. - change your pinion to 25 - 55 (TT-01D use 19 - 61) - use piston with 2 holes (tt-01d indicates 3 holes) - use zorex tires 40r with medium insert (40r good for sg temp) - use wheels with 2mm offset if you have more money to throw for your kit - a good servo (speed) - a good servo saver (tamiya stock servo saver suck ) - steering set - universal shaft - carbon upper frame - stabilizer set for my opinion TT-01 dont need high end controller dont waste your money on it. Middle end FM controller will do. (again thats for me) But if you are planning to buy a new car dont buy to much bling bling for your TT-01 My suggestion before you buy hop-ups for your kit, visit first our local race track in Quenstown, observe, be freindly ask question to all players and you will learn while having a new freind. for me TT-05 ( R or IFS) is a better car than TT-01 in terms of everything (durability, speed, etc) I hope it helps! |
sorry double post
