Default Track Layout Q's

I am building a track, but want to make sure it will be big enough to have fun on. Now I know it can never be too big, but is 35' X 60' a decent size for 1/10 that gives me 4ft lanes?

That layout looks pretty sweet! Is there gonna be an over/under aka.(Bridge) where the track crosses itself?

It's a little busy and the lanes are wee bit too small. Isn't 6' usually minimum?

I'm far from an experienced racer but the good tracks I have raced on had a good flow and were not overly complicated. Some cool ideas and tricky corners are nice, but a really tricked up layout isn't that much fun, IMO.

And unless there's an over/under in that 'X' I wouldn't take my car through there. Too many $$ invested for smash up derby.

Default Okay here we go...

Okay, here we go I created a few track layouts with a total NEW area of 36' X 70' with 6' lanes. I would like your vote on which track you would like to drive on...A-H. Try to only pick one...I want a good idea of what experts like you all would want from a track. Also remember this is off-road and each square you see is equal to 2' (3 squares = 6')...Let know know your vote!

Might take a second or two to load......

P.S. Feel free to steal any ideas you wish....

I like D. Just add a few jumps/obstacles.

I personally like the "G" layout. I like tracks with long rythem sections and big jumps and that track layout seems to have enough straights in it for those kind of sections.

Everyone made some good suggestions. I like D. Challenging but can be run and turnmarshalled. I never liked cross overs because no matter how well laid out, something always ends up caught in the middle and either a turn marshall gets hammered, or vehicles get broken.

D or G seem more logical from a turn-marshalling standpoint

How much "run-in room" is needed for a 24" high jump? 36" high jump?
