Default 2.5r tuning problem please help

my 2.5r (in a nitro stampede) is idling to high.so i called traxxas set it back to the factory settings and it sounds sluggish. i tried adjusting the low speed needle then it starts moving forward without any throttle. anyone know what i should do besides smash it?????

so you say you adjusted teh LS and it started moving forward??? if it is then turn it back and adjust the high speed. it could be too "fat" and being sluggish. does the motor clear out as the motor reaches peak rpm?

how much gas has the motor been thorugh?
wheels spin freely?
is the clutch stuck, meaning engaged all the time?
whats the hottest temp you motor has seen????
