Durable R/C Cars?

I decided to pull out my Evaders today and try them out again, and I ended up stripping a gear in the steering on one of them. And that got me wondering, are there any R/C cars out there that are more durable? I'd like to be able to use my cars with out breaking something on it half the time. Obviously I'm not expecting to slam into a wall head on at top speed and be perfectly fine, but it would be nice to not have to replace parts so often.

Ok, thanks. I'm thinking about maybe selling the Evaders and getting an E-Savage. Now I just have to get that job....

Any other suggestions are welcome too.

traxxas has got to be the toughest rc. i ran my rustler into the ground for 3 years and only broke a tranny gear.

that was prolly one of those all mighty traxas cars that they built....be lucky.

i have seen to many break for the simplest reasons.

I have beaten on my ruslter as well. I dont think i have broken anything. Too bad i cant say the same thing for my T3

well my firestorm is indestructible, unless you crash into something head on, and then i garuntee you will break a front bulkhead. which is a pain because you have to undo loads of screws, and two of which take about 10 mins each because they have to be undone through the shock towers. so you have to put the alan key in, turn half a turn, take it out, put it in etc. annoying!

my cousin had a nitro rustler and it seems like when he would yank the throlle something was breaking or popping off of it.

traxas i think is more for the backyard basher better than a real race car like losi or associated............:sneaky:

you stripped a gear in the 20$ servo that comes with alot of RTR cars..... How is that a knock on the durabilty of that buggy? I have been racing electric buggy since the 90's i have yet to strip a servo gear set.... Again i use proper servos such as [email protected]. And i dont kit walls or curbs :)

If im not mistaken duratrax has a parts warranty on there cars anyway one of the only companies with such a thing
