What car. Is it metric, standard etc. Generally youll need hex wrenches, Nut drivers, Body trim scissors, files, dikes, tie rod tool, and Needlenose pliers etc.

Electric:

Basics:

Hex drivers (imperial or metric depending on what your car uses) selection of screwdrivers, good quality soldering iron and solder, knife for cutting lexan, scissors, tooth brushes and or smaller paint brushes for cleanig your car, pit towel, screw box, parts box(es), zip ties, camber guages.... plenty of other smaller items too that I cant think of right now.

May be useful but not 100% needed to start with:

dremmel or similar, spray gun and face mask, car setup station, motor dyno, comm lathe.

If you are talking about Touring Cars you may want to get a good flat set up board and ride height/droop gauge and in the case of a Corally and good torque driver (the older kits had the good red handle ones).

Basicly some hex wrenches and a can of spray. All other tools mentioned are for tuning/setting up your car. Lathes for cutting comms and so on.
