2 or 3 channel radio for electric rc car?
i'm new to rc's and was wondering would a 3 channel radio system be any good to an electric rc car? or i just stick with a 2 channel?
#2
that would be ok
3 ch is fine on rc cars
most of the spectrum radios are 3 ch

both would do fine on electric.

i see that some 3 channels have better frequencies than 2 channels. In terms of response, do they really make much of a bigger difference?

In terms of response, if your a serious racer, most will go for 2.4g (spectram). THe difference IMO isn't huge, but there is a slight difference.

for electrics, i'd say 2 channel is enough... most races (electric or nitro) only requires 2 channels since reverse is not allowed
but know that most 2 channels tx/rx are crystal base so if you want to race and don't want to have freq conflicts with other racers, you may end up bringing more crystal sets...
response wise, ideally the difference would be marginal to nil.

2ch radios can have reverse too! its just a different signal to the motor.
