Default Brakes on 1/10 nitro 2wd truck

I need help in setting my brakes. I have an HPI Firestorm, but I am assuming it would be similar to most 1/10 trucks.

They don't seem to be braking very hard. There is an adjustment knob on there and I have tightened it down quite a bit and it has helped somewhat, but I am not getting a real hard stop. Any other ways of adjusting the brakes?....

i'm not sure, but there may be some way to shorten the cable to the servo, like on a bike, or a screw to make the pads closer together. just take a look and see.

Your brakes are similar to the Losi trucks:

So nothing wrong with the design..

ITs easy on a new truck to have brakes that glaze up, during break in lots of oil and fuel can bet back there since u run extra rich. And perhaps simply not be carefull and splashing fuel..

I race on road and i take apart my brakes after every race day to clean them:
-use motor cleaner or brake cleaner to clean the disk and the pads
-lightly scuff with low/med grit sand paper or emery cloth.

Re-assemble with clean oil free hands. They should lock up great now. IF your cranking down the linkage you likely cranking up agianst glazed pads and rotor
