Default motor over heating

im runing a xx4 w/10x2 team orion chrome modified motor w/20 pinion and i think a 84-87spur gear,novak dually.ok i tryed this motor out on a crapy blast esc with the same gearing and only the esc got hot(no wounders hehe)but today i installed the dually and the motor gets very hot but nothing else,it was getting so hot you could smell it.what could be couseing this???

Try a 17 pinion and a 84 spur. I think your overgeared. But I'm not sure(I've never run offroad). Check your drivetrain for debris.

you may want to double check your gear mesh...i had a xx4 once, and the gear mesh was a pain in the to get right. if you have it too tight you will get the problem you are describing

10t off-road is way to little. Try getting atleast 15t.

Traxxasdude? What do you mean, if he's running mod 4wd buggy he'll probably need a 10 turn motor to keep up, a 15 turn is way to slow for mod buggy if you want to be competative.
