Default Looking to upgrade (a little)

I'm trying to upgrade some of my equipment. I'm not going for the latest and greatest of everything, in fact I'm just going from a 27Mhz AM radio to a 75Mhz AM. I'm looking at all the different rcievers and I'm having trouble figuring out what all the numbers mean on the different recievers. I can't seem to find out what the difference in them is. For instance....I need Futaba recievers. I see some labled as R112JE or R142JE or R152JE. These are all 2 channel recievers....so what's the difference?

There different frequencies. Like you have FM and AM. For example 27 is low and 75 to 90 is high for frequency ranges.

i'd get a JR Xr2I am radio system. the transmitters are computerized, and have a bunch of settings you can mess with. make sure to get the 75 mhz version. AS for the difference between am, fm, and pcm... the difference is little performance wise. all of them work fine, dont shun off AM because theres fm, and others. they all work fine.

as for the radiosystem i specified, you can get them used (transmitter & reciever) for 20 - 40 bucks.

hope that helps!
