Default Receiver antenna wire replacement

So basically on my Novak xxl receiver, the antenna ripped off and my Airtronics receiver the antenna ripped in two. Does Radio Shack carry replacement wire? If so whats it called?

Thanks

I wouldn't deal with radio shack. If you talk with Airtronics they will help you with your receiver issue.

just get some similar-gauge wire, stranded, and replace it. Make sure the new piece is the same length as the origional though!

go to electric supply store and get 24gauge stranded wire, thats all it is and you can probably get 50ft of it for what airtronics will sell a foot of it for.

its EASY to replace

If the reciever is not under warranty theres no harm in carefully opening the case and seeing for yourself if you would feel ok replacing it

If you do decide to do it yourself try not to overheat the curcuit board when youre soldering on the new wire (could possibly be done with a too higher wattage soldering iron) and find out what length the replacement should be first.
