Thanks again for the advice!
They are easy to built, but require patience. Read the instructions several times and you will have a lot of fun. Remember, take your time it and it is very satisfying seing the finished product.
Go to your local club and see what they use for batteries and radios etc. Most clubs have affiliations with hobby stores and they may be able to put together a package that is within your budget. Talk to as many people as possible and ask questions. Good luck with it

I see, thanks for the feedback on the ebay link.

When I bought my TA-04R and busted open the box, I noticed the instructions were all in Japanese. Just a word of warning mind you, but you can get the jist of what they are saying in by looking at the pictures.

I also suggest the TA-05, my buddy just got one and I think it's a pretty decent car.

purchase your tamiya car in the U.S, then you will get English instructions.

also look into Tower Hobbies, they are a large reputable on line hobby shop. and they give a $20 discount.

they have ready to run tto1's
and tao5 kits.

I highly recommed tamiya products. I used to work at a hobby shop and tamiya is the finest car kits you can purchase. the instructions are easy to follow, the parts fit perfectly and if they don't fit, then you know you have made a mistake. it also will tell you how to install the radio system. your local hobby shop can help you here.

cheers.
